Garmin’s current GPS line for aviation is called the Aera. There are several models that include the 500, 510, 550, 560, 795, 796. The Aera comes with a powered cradle that includes a hardwire and an audio jack. The mount that comes with the cradle, not so great.
Fortunately, RAM Mounts has come through with an excellent alternative. Most are made of marine grade metal and will bolt to the back of the powered cradle using the same screws that came with your GPS.
