Extending your AT&T Cisco 3G MicroCell

Have lousy AT&T reception in your home or office?  Buy a Microcell.  Want even better reception?  Add an external antenna.

The internal antenna on the AT&T Cisco Microcell isn’t too great.  For those not wanting to put the device in their window, there is a solution available to extend your reach.  It’s called an MCX antenna.  They come with wiring that ranges to 5 meters (15 feet).  Just plug one end into your device and the other end has an antenna the size of an inch or so.  Then keep your Microcell wherever you like.

15 feet not long enough?  Check out an extension cord.  Yup, they have them for antennas too!

We normally write about mounts on our blog, but this is a pretty cool trick we recently discovered.
